After discussing the challenges their current identity faces, we developed the re-design brief with our new client and together, we decided that the identity needs to be more modern, friendly, and less corporate. A large majority of their target market is made up of females, so it was vital that the new logo represented a more feminine personality.

Brian Joseph Studios achieved the goals set out in the brief by developing a professional, modern, and clean identity. Along with the stationary we designed, the overall identity project was a success and our clients are delighted with the result.

We recently completed a new website for Jeff Wilson Pool Service, based in Naples Florida. We have been working with this client for over 3 years now and really enjoy the relationship we have built with the owners and staff there. Previously, we designed a logo for their construction company, “KC Wilson Construction”, and a full identity design and web design for their new company “Pool Tile Restoration of Naples“.

The Jeff Wilson Pool Service website was now in need of a refresh after lasting over 5 years online. Casey and Emily at Jeff Wilson Pool Service challenged us with the task of coming up with a unique design for a website in the pool cleaning industry. They told us that the business is celebrating over 25 years of business in Naples, and that they are proud of their longevity in the area. We discussed the idea of a retro web design to represent the experience of lasting, high levels of customer service that they provide.

This retro design concept worked and everything came together nicely to form a really memorable, fun experience for users visiting the new Jeff Wilson Pool Service website.

The Identity

We began the project by developing the new identity for our new client and after a face-to-face meeting, we had our logo design brief.

Our two lead designers, Brian Yerkes (Owner & Creative Director) and Colin Hughes (Designer) began with the concept development phase of the project. This stage of the logo design process includes hours of sketching and discussion between the Brian Joseph Studios team after learning about our client, their market, and their company goals.

Below you will see just a few of the sketches we worked on as we were forming our concepts for this new identity. Originally, our client was going to use the name “Sterling Marketing Solutions”, but soon after changed it to “Sterling Integrated Marketing”. You can see some of our sketches were based on the earlier choice, but some of our work on developing an “S” shape carried over.

After our sketching process, we met again to discuss the potential of each concept. There are many vital steps that we take before we choose to proceed with a specific concept. We talk about its flexibility, its versatility and ability to grow into a full brand for the client. When developing logo designs, it is important that the identity is easily viewed in small sizes, and when displayed in different applications, including black and white.

Once we had a few strong concepts that we were happy with, and that matched the logo design brief from our discussions with the client, we then turned the sketches into digital drawings, and finally into finished logo designs for the client to review with us.

We sent a full description about each concept to the client, explaining our inspiration sources and why we were confident that each concept matched their goals for their new identity. After reviewing each concept over the phone with the client, they decided on the design with the black lettering and light blue “IN”. This concept not only provided them with a logo, but also a full branding concept that could be carried over to each piece of collateral.

After receiving our client’s feedback, we began developing the “IN” concept further and decided to integrate it more closely with the other letters…taking inspiration from the word “Integrated” in the company’s new name. After a few more revisions, the final concept was developed and ready to go. We also created some stationary designs as part of the project, with all pieces presenting the new “Are You In?” brand message that we developed.

The Website

Once the identity project was complete, we moved onto the development of the website. We designed a custom web design for Sterling Integrated Marketing, using the bold colors from the logo, and an easy to use interface for the viewer to navigate through. Information is presented in a concise manner, and is easily retrieved to ensure that the user experience is a positive one.

We utilized various pieces of Javascript and Flash to enhance the interactivity of the website without compromising the search engine optimization of each page and its content. After the custom web design was ready, we began the development / coding stage.

Back in November 2008, we launched a website for Good Time Charters, and it has proven so successful for our client, Cristina, that she has now purchased an additional company, “Everglades Adventures”. Naturally, she knew she could trust Brian Joseph Studios to provide an exceptional website with a stunning and memorable design, and so she hired us to develop the new website for Everglades Adventures.

We wanted to design a fun, adventurous feeling website, and with the overall look of foliage, flowers and birds, we were able to design a beautiful website for this client.

An Everglades Tours Website

As a loyal customer, Good Time Charters works with us regularly for everything from web design to print design. We recently re-designed their fishing charters on Fort Myers Beach website, and they have enjoyed so much success that they recently purchased another tours business to expand their company.

We are currently developing a new website for “Everglades Adventures”, a tour bus service for the Everglades area. The current website is extremely outdated and our client knows that Brian Joseph Studios can design a striking website for them to bring the web design and functionality up to the highest standard.

The design we are working on is highly creative and visually beautiful. This type of tourist industry / fun activity website gives us a chance to display our graphic design skill and creativity, and we are thoroughly enjoying working on this website project.

An Autism Charity Website

We recently met the manager of a local Autism charity in Fort Myers, and we decided to donate our web design and graphic design services to this wonderful cause. “The Autism Fund” needed it’s first website, and after a few weeks, we have completed the website and will be launching it very soon.

The Autism Fund’s goal is to help autistic children in Southwest Florida receive ongoing treatment to help them to develop their abilities. Here at Brian Joseph Studios, we decided that the charity could also benefit greatly from being paired with a professional public relations company also, and so we requested the help from our preferred public relations firm, Hillgate Communications on Sanibel Island. Together, we will soon be organizing events for The Autism Fund, and look forward to promoting the charity in Southwest Florida.

We are all hoping that the new website will increase the charity’s exposure and help with accepting online donations. We will be launching the website very soon at the domain name, TheAutismFund.org.

A Tour Boat Charter Website

Snook Bight Yacht Club & Marina, referred us to their new charter boat company, Phase IV charters. We are currently working on a small two page website to get this tour boat company online and help them to increase their exposure to the local market.

The design of the website will have a unique and interesting design, with a nice classy feel. We are currently working with the client and look forward to the launch of this website!

We recently flew a few of the Brian Joseph Studios team over to Europe for various meetings, some with current clients and some with new potential clients. We met with Allsave Energy Solutions one day in Dublin and enjoyed spending time with them.

Allsave Energy Solutions came to us back in 2007 to create their first website for the company. Ireland’s Government had just passed legislation requiring all homes and buildings to acquire energy ratings starting in 2009. The very first training courses were organized by a State body to certify BER Ratings Assessors, and Allsave Energy Solutions began after the owner, Gary Long, became qualified.

The initial website design that we created served the company well for over a year, and just 2 weeks ago we discussed the possibility of re-designing the site to further enhance it and allow it to grow with the company.

Last night, we launched the newly designed site with a beautiful design and a few nice pieces of powerful technology.

Here are some of the features of the new website:

• CMS system (Content Management System) – this allows the client to completely control the website ourselves, from the text and pictures on each page, to overall design and color scheme. Client can also add/edit/delete as many pages as they like.
• Blogging Platform – client can post latest news under the “News” section using the simple online editor that Brian Joseph Studios provided. This is a great feature that the client is really looking forward to utilizing frequently.
• Client Login – client now has a private client only access area where they can provide each client with access to special documents, energy saving information, and personal account information about their property.
• Design – they are delighted with the new design of the site. They wanted it to be friendly, and comfortable but professional. Obviously, they wanted to use “green” imagery and they think Brian Joseph Studios really captured the look they were hoping for.
• Logo and Identity – along with the new website, we developed a completely new identity and brand for Allsave Energy Solutions. Their new logo is ready to take them into 2009 and will allow them to grow and expand as the months go by.

So, we are going to start a new feature on our blog that looks back at some of the work we did and how it has helped each client.

Part 1: Victory Marketing Agency

We completed a logo design for this client in March, and since then Victory Marketing Agency has grown tremendously, and is now firmly placed as a leading staffing agency in the US. As the company grew, the client wisely invested more money into his marketing plans. We were hired to create a custom web design, along with more print design items like stationary, a media kit, and a few proposal designs.

The client receives regular compliments on the website Brian Joseph Studios designed for him, and Victory Marketing Agency’s overall brand has proven to be an extremely successful one.
