Bucks for Bauman

Internet users around the world have come together to help Jeff Baumann, who lost both legs in the recent Boston bombing tragedy, pay for health insurance.

Bauman helped police to ID the suspects from his hospital bed and said “Saw the guy, looked right at me”. Friends of his have set up a gofundme.com page, “Bucks for Bauman” and the donations have been rolling in, with the current amount at $350,006.00 at the time of writing.

Another gofundme.com campaign has been set up for mother and daughter, Celeste and Sydney, who also suffered serious injuries from the blasts.

Online crowdfunding has shed some much needed sunlight onto this otherwise incredibly sad event and we should all continue to share the stories of the many heroes that were involved in the aftermath.
