Social Media Tip : Bring Customers Behind the Scenes

There are many different ways to approach social media marketing but one of our favorite ways to help our clients build strong relationships with their customer base is showing off what goes on behind the scenes. Allowing customers to get special insight into the work that goes into a product or service can have a lasting impact on how people view a company’s overall brand.

A great example of this is Sweet Odin’s Danish Bakery which recently opened in Bonita Springs, Florida. On their Facebook page, they regularly publish various pieces of media to enhance their identity and make their customers feel like they are a part of their bakery. This bakery loves their customers and they want them to know it by bringing them “backstage” with photos of an authentic Danish Kringle being created by the baker, or offering exclusive email subscribers’ only specials.

Imagery like this can also greatly enhance the overall feeling of a website design, by showing website visitors some background information.

Showing your customers the work, the people and the passion that goes into your products or services creates an emotional connection to your brand, and when coupled with an excellent product or service, builds customer loyalty that lasts a lifetime.
