New website design launched – Sweet Odin’s Danish Bakery

Web design - Sweet Odin's

Sweet Odin’s Danish Bakery is a family owned bakery in Bonita Springs, Florida with 3rd and 4th generation bakers. They were looking for a web design company in Fort Myers or Naples.

After a few months of helping this new bakery open its doors with a strong and memorable identity and overall brand, we are excited to announce the launch of their website at SweetOdins.com . We’ve had an awesome time working closely with the owners of this bakery, not to mention that they’re 3rd and 4th generation Danish bakers!

Together with the client, we wanted to create an inviting website that expanded upon the brand that we had already developed, and to ensure that website visitors were able to get a true sense of what Sweet Odin’s Danish Bakery is all about, the people and the passion behind every baked item.

Overall, the website design of SweetOdins.com is engaging, easy to use and friendly. Visitors to the site are able to view pictures of most aspects of the bakery, from the exterior to inside the kitchen. Users are encouraged to sign up to the bakery’s email newsletter to receive specials, discounts and even an automated birthday present offer.

Visitors can also add a short note and photo that will be posted to the “Reviews” section upon approval by the client in the backend which is powered by a customized WordPress framework. The site also features an easy to use menu section that allows visitors to view menu items, kringle flavors, and prices for most of the items available inside the bakery.

Within the menu section, we added a cool piece of functionality that displays the soup of the day, and the quiche of the day. We developed a custom WordPress plugin to determine the current day on the server of the website, and display the appropriate soup and quiche assigned to that day according to the schedule that the client adds in the backend.

We’ve already received over 1,500 email newsletter sign ups! The website looks great!  Still getting compliments on it.” (Kevin, Sweet Odin’s Baker)

Our final step to fully complete the website is to switch on the responsive web design coding that is going to be completed very soon. This will ensure that website visitors using mobile devices and smaller screens will be able to use the website without pinching and zooming and will enjoy using the website easily on any device.
